Welcome to the Lived Data Collective!
We are a research group at the University of Maryland, College Park, led by Dr. Keke Wu. Our work explores how visualization can bridge abstract data and lived experience. We seek to make data more accessible, relatable, and meaningful, helping people connect data to their own lives, communities, and experiences. We believe that when data is grounded in human experience, it can foster understanding, reflection, and action. Drawing on insights from accessibility, neurodiversity, and human-centered design, we investigate new ways of understanding, feeling, and engaging with data.
